Had a great weekend away recently at the home of Arran Bushcraft. We were joined there by several friends including Arran Bushcraft, Out in the Bush Scotland, High Fly Films, Black Boar Knives, Reviresco Leather and Craft, Red Stag Bushcraft and many more.
We arrived early on Thursday morning in glorious sunshine and spent the day travelling round the 56 miles of coastline in search of the perfect spot for taking some snaps of the hammocks and tarps. Problem is, when you have so much beauty to choose from, you often find yourself passing up one place after another in search of a better spot and before you know it the day is gone. Thursday was one such day. We must have driven those 56 miles two maybe three times, taking note of all the 'perfect spots'. Before we knew it we were out of light and settling down for the night. Finding a place to stay took just as long but that's a story for another day.
After a hearty breakfast we arrived at camp early on the Friday to make the most of the day and the land available to us for the shoot. Had we done that on Thursday we would have avoided a rainy shoot, but you live and learn by your decisions in life. Procrastination beat us on Thursday but we refused to give in to the weather on Friday and got some lovely shots.
With the stress of the photo shoot behind us we spent the rest of the weekend relaxing and enjoying the company of some of the best people I have had the pleasure to meet in life. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend.
